I'm back!!!

Aloha!  I'm back!  So sorry for being quiet for the past few months...  Life took its toll on me.  From emergency trips, work to just being stagnant period.  I haven't signed in on my blog for so long that I forgot the password.  That's pretty bad...  But I'm back and rejuvenated!

Entertaining our nephew and his girlfriend from New York this week gave me a jump start.  Taking them around the island (Oahu) reminded me of how much Hawaii and LIFE has to offer.  It inspired me all over again.  While a lot of people are enduring the freezing winter, we are here in Hawaii enjoying the sun and rainbows.  That is definitely something to cheer about and be thankful for.

Aside from the beautiful beaches & landscape you'll get to see driving to North Shore, you'll get to pass by several food trucks serving local food, shave ice, fresh fruits & most especially, SHRIMP!!!

I don't mind driving 30 miles from our house to this shack in North Shore for their garlic shrimp & prawns. YUM YUM!

The best garlic shrimp I've had in the island!

About 5 miles from the Romy's Kahuku Shrimp is the Sunset Beach, a perfect place to sit and relax after a big plate of garlic shrimp.  We got here just in time for sunset.  A nice guy on the beach hooked us up with an ice cold coconut.  What an awesome random act of Aloha! 

My photos really don't the sunset view any justice.  Mild breeze, calm ocean and this beautiful sunset while sitting on cool sand is just as good as it gets during winter.  I've been so caught up with the city's hustle and bustle that I forgot that this is Hawaii, and that I should stop and appreciate what 'Aina has to offer.
